Article:
Robin van Persie claims that Arsenal did not win the title due to bad luck. He thinks the team have been robbed of winning some games for having been denied two pure penalties and a goal that was rejected, which in fact was a goal. He says is not hiding behind this excuse and he also admits that you have to earn luck, but this season, luck has not been on Arsenal’s side.  Though van Persie understands why the supporters are not that happy with Arsenal, at the same time he insisted “that Wenger’s men are the new incarnation of the great Dutch side under Rinus Michels that should have won the 1974 World Cup”.

Opionion:

Though van Persie claims not to be hiding behind the fact that they lost the title due to bad luck, I think he is a poor loser. Sure a referee can deny a team pure penalties or pure goals, but in the end, it is up to the players to win a game. If van Persie thinks they have a team equal to the Dutch team in the 1974 World Cup (which I think is a bit exaggerated), they do not even need luck, they will be able to win the title with their own talent and strength. GO ARSENAL!!!
