Incredible Holk

Article:

North Norfolk Coast is supposed to be one of the UK’s hidden gems. In this article, Pete Bell takes the reader on a small journey to Wells-next-the-Sea and lives a short fantasy life. He stays in a holiday cottage and from there on he shows us how beautiful and peaceful life is while staying there. He tells the reader where one can go for a good meal or which sights are well-worth visiting. For instance, there is a restaurant called the Globe where you can eat a three course meal for a ‘pub price’. You can visit award-winning Holkham Beach, which is part of nature reserve and there are properties to visit such as Holkham Estate and Holkham Hall and its gardens. All in all a good place to take a rest from our busy daily lives.

Opinion:

Eventhough it is a short article about the North Norfolk Coast, the writer -Pete Bell- tells about his stay at Wells-next-the-sea and Holkham in such a way I would be interested to go there myself. He speaks vividly about the surroundings, the restaurants, the nature reserves, the sights one can visit and the way you must be feeling when you are there. As an ‘England-lover’ myself, I am always interested in stories about different parts of the country. And after having read this article about Wells-next-the-Sea and all its surrounding beauty, there is another part of England which is now on my ‘to-visit-list’.

1 opmerking:

  1. It is a lovely country, but incredible expensive. I have lots of treasured memories in the UK; I did for instance the Pembrokeshire coast path in Wales; a rock climbing course in the vicinity of Lands End and I went to the Cambridge Folk Festival. The problem is, there is a whole world waiting to be explored.
